Unrest between Pakistan and India could also turn out to be a power keg of unforeseen consequences — each have powerful allies

I for one will embrace the wirlwind, the planet is overpopulated with flagulating buttheads who can only see past the next ipod release.
We are in trouble any how, no one likes bullies and now we are next for retaliation against us. I hope that people will finally realize what is going on and stop this, if not we are heading for WW3 for sure.

Yes that scenario could lead to a world war , initially beginning with Russia vs the US, not a pretty scenario.

China cannot bankrupt the US — their debts are denominated in dollars, all we have to do is print more dollars to pay them off — and it wouldn’t be in China’s interest to try. They are still far more dependent on the US economy than the US economy is on them.
Venezuela is a joke. They won’t cut off oil because they need the revenue. And if the US wanted to do something, Russia couldn’t stop it.
Israel may well attack Iran.
Iran will get no significant Russian and Chinese help.
