It is not a scam per say, but most employers will not even consider it a degree. The university of Pheonix does not have a good reputation.
There are lots of other online MBA programs though. Look into the UMASS online, they have an MBA program as well as many others and all are considered degrees from the university itself.

Going along with what I glanced at the other answer, it’s a real institution but not the best choice. These days most schools have online classes. I’d look into whatever college is nearest you (because it’s easier to sort things in person), and see what programs they offer in that area you’re interested.
