if anyone know of good affiliate programs I can join to make some extra money…I joined the doteasy.com affiliate program it seems fair. For anyone also looking for additional programs to join. I have heard mixed reviews about Google’s Adsense what are your opinion about and from using Adsense?

If you want to learn about affiliate marketing then I suggest you find a good online forum, or maybe visit Allan Gardyne’s AssociatePrograms.com . I suggest, politely, that you forget about making money from your site until you’ve got thousands of visitors coming to it every day. Affiliate programs will become more obvious to you, especially if you know the demographic of your visitor base.
As for Adsense, I can highly recommend it as a good, lazy way to make money. But you need good levels of website traffic first.
Your approach, the same as most people’s if I’m being honest, is not going to succeed I don’t think, as you’re looking to run before you can walk.

It’s an affiliate programs directory that deal with these sorts of things on a daily basis. I use some of the CPM banner ads that they list on my entertainment site, which is working out well. I also use some of the CPA affiliate networks which I think is great.
