I just bought some at GNC. I got 2 one ounce bottles for 6.97 (one 1oz. bottle was 6.99 so it was a deal lol)
Anyway, I was wondering what some of you use peppermint oil for, besides cooking.
I was thinking more aromatherapy wise ![]()
I found some ideas online, but I just wanted to see what other people used it for. Thanks!

Peppermint is a stimulant so if you need stimulation….you could use it for aroma therapy for brain stimulation or you could put it in some grape seed oil and use for feet massage, on a cotton ball in your front pocket for all day scent or in your car to keep you alert….a few drops in your water is good for an upset tummy, very few drops of peppermint is needed for anything as it is a very strong oil.
hope this helped
take care

my mom sometimes puts the bottle of peppermint oil under her nose and inhales the aroma when she is having an allergy attack or has a stuffed up nose. On the bottle that i have it says that the suggested usages are~
Cooling Comfort: 3-4 drops peppermint on a cool cloth across the forehead or over the back of the neck.
OR
Pep up: waft open bottle under nose.
I can’t really give you any suggestions because I don’t use it, but I know that it can be used in skin care as long as you dilute the oil(for the scent and to help invigorate you) and also in food(as long as the oil you purchased isn’t specifically for external use only).
My favorite use of peppermint oil is for headache. I mix 30 drops of lavender oil with 1 or 2 drops peppermint & carry it in my purse. Many headaches or neck aches will go away with simple inhalation. For faster and more long-lasting relief, dab on the temples or back of the neck. (Note, some sensitive individuals may experience slight skin irritation from mint unless it is diluted.)
Mentha piperita is also used for nausea, fatigue, cough, digestive problems, gassy stomach, muscle pain and poor circulation.
I also like to put a couple of drops in a quart of iced tea just for flavor.
I don’t know specifically about peppermint oil, but peppermint is a really good muscle relaxant. For example people who get bad period pain or stress cramps often get relief from drinking peppermint tea or eating peppermints. It might be good for this, like rubbing it on (though you’d have to dilute it first) or maybe even just smelling it would be good.
Vaporize it! It will smell amazing
Good luck!
It is good for stomach disorders a drop or two
